Press Release
Summit High School Boundary
Informational Meetings
The Fontana Unified School District is
experiencing major growth in all of its schools. This growth is particularly
high in the northern portion of the district. Because of this the district is
building the new Summit High School, which will open for ninth and tenth grade
students in September 2005.
Due to the high enrollment at A.B.
Miller and Fontana High Schools, the district will be changing the current
boundaries. This means that some of the current students in both schools will
be transferred next school year, September 2005.
Parents with students who reside in an
area that may be affected by boundary changes being considered are being invited
to attend one of two informational meetings where several options will be
presented and discussed. District staff and Boundary Review Committee
representatives will attend to answer questions, as well as receive suggestions.
