Pasta For People

The Fontana Unified School District’s WorkAbility Program is gearing up for its annual fundraising event, Pasta for People.  The dinner with holiday boutique will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2004 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Sons of Italy.

The WorkAbility Program provides job search preparation, job skills training, job placement, assistance in transitioning from high school to college, and many other services to students with special needs.  The students served are those who have special education classes or health impairments, such as hearing loss, visual handicaps, or medical problems.

Sandy Valdepena, Coordinator of Career Technical Education and WorkAbility, states that “the needs of our students exceed the funding our program receives.  In an effort to fulfill the needs of as many of these students as possible, we often have fundraising events to generate additional monies.”

For tickets to Pasta for People, call (909) 357-5500, ext. 6633.  Tickets for the event are $6.  All proceeds support the Fontana Unified School District WorkAbility Program.
