Grant Elementary School's Dedication Ceremony will be held on May 18, 2005 at 2:45
p.m. FUSD Superintendent, Dr. Charles D. Milligan, FUSD Board Members,
district and county administration, local government representatives, as well as
the school's namesake, Dorothy Grant, are planned to participate in the
Dedication Ceremony. Grant Elementary School opened in Fall of 2004.
The school is located on a nine-acre site north of Baseline Avenue and west of
Almeria Avenue, was designed to accommodate 600 students on a single-track
calendar. Grant Elementary School features an architectural style which is
reflective of its surrounding community and was designed by PSWC Architects. The
contractor was Tardos & Yousef.
