Student Perfect Attendance Recognition
At the June 22, 2005 Board of Education Meeting, two
outstanding FUSD students were recognized for perfect attendance: Paula Chojnacki from
A.B. Miller High School and Evan Brooks from Fontana High School.
Paula Chojnacki was recognized for 13 years of perfect
attendance. Paula's record was put to the test earlier this year when she
was in an automobile accident on the way to school. But ever the trooper,
Paula was patched-up at the hospital with five staples in her head and returned
to school the same day. In addition to being named Valedictorian, Paula
has been involved in many student clubs during her years at A.B. Miller,
including CSF, Academic Decathlon, Link Crew, Philosophy Club, Rebels for
Christ, Leo Club and the Key Club. She plans to attend Cal State San
Bernardino as a physics major.
Evan Brooks was honored for 12 years of perfect
attendance. Evan was involved in many student activities while attending
Fontana High School, including the Key Club, the Christian Club, and the
swim team. He has been involved in the Boys Scouts of America for many
years and recently achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. Evan recently
received an award from Kiwanis for completing 275 hours of community service
through his work with the Key Club and Boy Scouts. Evan has taken three years
of computer animation at Fohi and plans to attend Chaffey Community College and
continue his studies in that field.
Congratulations to both Paula and Evan for their
achievement!
