Meet Dr. Ruble

On May 17, 2000, when Fontana Unified School District's Middle School #7 was still in the planning stages, the FUSD Board of Education voted to name the school after longtime Board Member, Dr. D. Wayne Ruble, honoring his four decades of serve to the students, school employees and the community of Fontana.

Dr. Ruble is currently serving his fifth term as a Board Member following 27 years as a special education teacher and administrator.  He was chosen for this rare honor in recognition of a groundswell of employee and community requests.

A former resident of Clinton, Illinois, Dr. Ruble is the son of Allen and Catherine Ruble, now deceased.  He attended Lincoln Elementary School, Washington Junior High and Clinton Community High School.  He graduated from Illinois State Normal University in 1951, and received his Doctorate of Education in 1960 from Colorado State College in Greeley.  Dr. Ruble is very active in the Fontana community and has served with the following organizations:

Dr. Ruble is very interested in providing the youth with health services and other services which are needed but are unavailable to them. He has spent his career working with children and is continuing to do so in his retirement.
