On May 10, 2005, the
Fontana Unified School District held its Annual Retirement and Recognition Dinner. The
A.B. Miller High School multipurpose room was filled
with hundreds of FUSD co-workers and families honoring the 61 retiring
employees. Superintendent, Dr. Charles D. Milligan, and the members of the Board of
Education presented awards and certificates to retirees and
employees with 25, 30, and 35 years of service.
Bill
Olinger, Principal at Date Elementary School, served as Master
of Ceremonies. A dinner of prime rib
and vegetable lasagna was prepared by the FUSD Child Nutrition Department and served by
A.B. Miller High and Sequoia Middle School Peer Leaders, and Truman Middle
School Ambassadors. Entertainment was provided by the A.B. Miller High
School Chamber Singers under the direction of Bruce Van Note.
