Acknowledgement of Achievements
At the April 4,
2006 Board Meeting, the following students and staff were acknowledged for
their achievements:
Inland Valley
Van Gogh Student Recognition
Each month, Assemblymember Joe Baca, Jr. (D-Rialto) features student artwork from
our local schools in his San Bernardino District Office and on his official
website as part of his "Inland Valley Van Goghs Program". During the month of March 2006, the featured artwork was a
watercolor painting from Cheryl Donica's first grade class at Dorothy Grant Elementary
School. Students painted kites and flowers depicting a scene from the
book, "Frog and Toad are Friends." Said Mrs. Donica, "Incorporating art
into our reading lessons motivates and engages students during the learning
process."

Fontana Chamber of Commerce presented FUSD teachers with
mini-grants to provide them with funds for educational supplies or programs. |
