Arts Education Month
At their March 1, 2006 meeting, the FUSD
Board of Education adopted
Resolution #06-10
declaring March 2006 as Arts Education Month.
The California State Board of Education
states in its Arts Education Policy adopted in July 1989, that each student
should receive a high quality, comprehensive arts education based on the adopted
2004 Visual and Performing Arts Framework for California Public School,
Kindergarten through Grade twelve. The curriculum of the Fontana Unified
School District as outlined in Board Policy 6143, Courses of Study support these
tenets.
