On April 13, 2006 A.B. Miller High School held their Academic Awards Night to recognize and honor students for their academic achievement during the past semester.

Students with 24 or more points for courses on the Academic Achievement list were awarded gold medals and students with 22 to 23.5 points were awarded silver medals.  Click here for a copy of the event program with a complete list of student medal winners.

The Ivy Chain, A.B. Miller's Junior Honor Attendants, were also announced at the Academic Awards ceremony.  Junior Honor Attendants were selected on the basis of weighted GPA of 3.8 or higher of five semesters (with no Ds, Fs, 4s and no more than one PE course per semester).  This year's Ivy Chain includes the following students:

In addition, it was announced that Jorge Marquez and Daniel Gonzalez will represent A.B. Miller at Boys' State this summer.  Sandy Benitez will be A.B. Miller's representative at Girls' State.
