The City of Fontana is hosting the 2nd Annual Teen Fest.
Teen Fest is a free, one day teen event developed by the Fontana
Police Department to assist with promoting the Anti-Drug message of Red
Ribbon Week. Teen Fest is geared towards providing
teenagers between the ages of 13 and 18 with events, positive speakers and
musical groups; all of whom send a strong message against drug use.
Teen Fest offers
quality event components such as physical activities and teen based
competitions such as the Teen Idol Singing and Teen Ink Art Contests. The focus of Teen Fest
is the GOT Future and GET Involved areas that promote
community involvement and awareness, as well as job training and educational
planning.This year, the 2006 Teen Fest will include a few new event features, including: The
Extreme Sports Zone which will host a wide variety of extreme BMX and
Skateboarding demos, as well as showcase race cars, quads, sand buggies, and
pocket bikes. The Armed Forces Arena will pay tribute to our
soldiers with displays from the United States Marine Corp, Army, Coast Guard,
and more.
