New Elementary Schools UpdateBeech Avenue Elementary School - Updated 5/9/07 Beech Avenue Elementary School is located on the west side of Beech Avenue, just north of Randall Avenue, at 9206 Beech Avenue in Fontana. The new school will serve grades kindergarten through fifth and have 30 classrooms designed to provide an optimal learning environment. Beech Avenue Elementary will operate on the Elementary Single-Track, Year-Round schedule (Track 5 on the District Calendar). The school will accommodate 650 students and is intended to alleviate crowding at nearby West Randall and Live Oak Elementary Schools. The construction of Beech Avenue elementary is scheduled to finish in September of 2007, with furniture delivery thereafter. Students will actually start at Beech Avenue on November 26, 2007 (the beginning of the 2nd Trimester). Beech Avenue students will start the school year (1st Trimester beginning July 26, 2007) at either Live Oak or West Randall, as follows:
During the time that Beech Avenue students are housed at Live Oak and West Randall, they will be assigned to separate classrooms. The entire class and teacher will be designated as a Beech Avenue classroom, and will relocate to Beech Avenue Elementary School for the 2nd and 3rd Trimesters of the 2007-08 school year. This will ensure continuity of instruction for students.
Kathy Binks Elementary School Kathy Binks Elementary School is located on the southwest corner of Baseline and Cypress Avenues, at 7358 Cypress Avenue in Fontana. The new school will serve grades kindergarten through fifth and have 29 classrooms designed to provide an optimal learning environment. Binks Elementary will operate on the Elementary Single-Track, Year-Round schedule (Track 5 on the District Calendar). The first day of school for students is July 26, 2007. The elementary school will accommodate 650 students and is intended to alleviate crowding at nearby Sierra Lakes and Mango Elementary Schools
