20th Annual Multilingual Recognition Program

On May 11, 2007, seventy-five students, staff and volunteers from San Bernardino County school districts were honored at the 20th Annual Multilingual Recognition Program.   Five of the honorees recognized for their outstanding contributions toward the achievement of linguistically diverse students were from the Fontana Unified School District:

  • Jason Angle
    Principal, North Tamarind Elementary School
  • Martha Duenas
    Coordinator, EL Services
  • Edith Saucedo
District English Language Advisory Committee (DELAC) - President
  • Wanda Pimentel
District English Language Advisory Committee (DELAC) - Vice President
  • Maria Arroyo
    Coordinator, Parent Involvement

“It’s a celebration of the excellent programs available to English Learners,” said Martha Lilia Hall, multilingual coordinator for the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools.  “It honors the individuals who have made a difference and who have gone beyond the call of duty.”
