Volunteers Plant 50 Trees at Ruble MS
Over 100 volunteers were on hand on April 28 to plant 50 trees along
the field at Ruble Middle School.
This event was held in anticipation of the Great Clean Air Tree Planning
Project, the largest single-day urban tree planting effort in the history of the
South Coast Air Basin, which will take place in October. The event,
presented by Healthier Communities and the South Coast Air Quality Management
District, is designed to help clean the air we breathe, said Mary Mahoney, a
represented for United Voice for Healthier Communities.
