FUSD Students Compete at State History Day


Students from all over California competed at State History Day in Long Beach on April 26-29.  The Fontana Unified School District had several individual student and group projects competing at the state competition and of those, two projects were named as alternates for the national competition:

Eric Hester, Corey Jennings, and Jannette Fernandez - Summit HS
Sr. Group Exhibit:  "Dynamo Kiev:  A Triumphant Legacy from a Tragic Time"

Mia Camden and Ezhana Adams - Canyon Crest ES
4th/5th Grade Group Poster:  "San Francisco Earthquake and Fire of 1906: A Tragic Past Leads to a Triumphant Future"

  • Esmeralda Cano, Jasmine Causor, Johan Diaz and Celina Lopez - A.B. Miller HS
    Sr. Group Documentary:  "Panama Canal:  Passage Through the Seas"

Congratulations to all of the FUSD students who competed at the State History Day competition and good luck to our alternates if they are called to compete at the 27th Annual National History Day event at the University of Maryland on June 11-15.
