Bus Passes for 2008-09 School Year

The Transportation Department has begun processing applications for school bus passes for the 2008-09school year.

All high school and middle school students that live within the District-defined walking distance from their school are not eligible for school bus transportation.  Additionally, transportation may not be available to any elementary school student who resides within the walking distance to their school or to any student that is not attending their home school.  However, if transportation is available, the student is NOT eligible for free transportation.  No transportation is available to students attending Sequoia Middle School for the G.A.T.E. program. See the chart below for the District-defined walking distances.  Students who reside outside the boundaries of the Fontana Unified School District are not eligible for school bus transportation.

All Bus Passes for Students in Grades 1 through 12 must be applied for by mail.
Mail completed application form using the enclosed postage-paid return envelope to Fontana Unified School District, Transportation Department, P.O. Box 5090, Fontana, CA 92334-5090.  ATTN:  Bus Pass Processing.  Once the completed application has been received, the Transportation Department will notify you by mail of what needs to be done to complete the application process.  Do not submit a photograph, they are not required for students in grades 1 through 12.

All Bus Passes for Students in Kindergarten may be applied for by mail or in person.
Bring completed application form and a current passport-sized photograph to the District Enrollment Center at 9548 Citrus Avenue in Fontana.  The office hours are Monday thru Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. except holidays.  Please be advised that the wait in line is normally over one-hour from July through September.  Please register now!  You must submit a photograph for kindergarten students.

• Book Single Trip Tickets / 20 Tickets:  $20 (Cannot be purchased through the mail and MUST be paid for in cash or by money order.)
• Replacement School Bus Pass:  $5 each (Must be paid in cash at the District Enrollment Center or to the bus driver.)
