ROP Student Places 2nd at Local Student Recognition Competition

Congratulations to Jose Rosales, student in Fontana ROP and senior at Birch High School.  On February 28, 2008, Jose placed second in Home Economics/Education category of the Local Student Recognition Competition.

Jose was nominated for the competition by his ROP Restaurant Occupations Teacher, Elaine Bison.  After completing his ROP training, he plans to go into the culinary arts field.

The Student Recognition Competition is ROP's primary opportunity to recognize outstanding students who have displayed a positive attitude, demonstrated outstanding skills in their ROP class, and possess realistic career goals. 

San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools ROP and the Fontana Unified School District are proud of Jose's accomplishment.  He will proceed to the Chapter Student Recognition Competition on May 13, 2008.
