School Choice Program

Under the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB), school districts must offer parents of students in schools that have been identified for Program Improvement the opportunity to transfer their children to other schools in the same district that have not been identified for Program Improvement or Supplemental Educational Services (SES)/Free Tutoring. 

The following schools will participate in the School Choice program during the 2008-09 school year:  Date and West Randall Elementary Schools

To find out more about the School Choice Program, please download the following information:

Elementary Schools

• Letter mailed to parents of students at Date - English / Spanish

• Letter mailed to parents of students at West Randall - English / Spanish

• Transfer Application - English / Spanish

If you choose to apply for a public school choice transfer from a Program Improvement school, please complete the appropriate application form and return it to your child's school office no later than May 30, 2008.
