Summit Group Takes First Place at State History Day
Students from all over California competed at State
History Day in Sacramento on May 8-11. Eighteen individual and group
projects represented Fontana in the statewide competition. We are
happy to announce that Moriah Schnoze and Leeanne Garcia's
"Conflict and Compromise in the Age of Empires" won the Senior Group Exhibit category.
As a first place team, the Summit High School juniors will proceed on to
the National History Day Competition.
In addition, there is an individual and a group of FUSD
students who placed at State History Day:

A.B. Miller High School student Anthony Yeh
came in second place in the Senior Individual Website category with his
project "The Chinese Exclusion Act: Segregation of East From
West."
- Summit High School students
A'Ryann Johnson, Brenda Uribe, Cherri Taite and Khamani Harrison placed fourth
in the Senior Group Performance category with their project "The Cherokee:
Conflicts and Compromises End in Tears."
