FUSD Student Participates in State Science Fair
Ernesto Nunez, a 9th grade student from Fontana
High School, represented the Fontana Unified School District on May 19-20, 2008
at the California State Science Fair.
The State Science Fair was held at the Los
Angeles Memorial Sports Arena near the California Science Center. This year, 953
students participated from 359 schools throughout the state to compete for
awards totaling over $50,000. Ernesto was interviewed by 10 judges. The
judges are university professors with specialties in each of the categories
showcased at the Science Fair.
Although Ernesto did not win an award, he had a great learning experience and he
is excited to compete again. We are proud of his accomplishments!
