Congratulations to the Class of 2009!

For many students, graduation is an event that seems to be far off in the future but, for the Class of 2009, that day has finally arrived!

Fontana Unified School District proudly celebrates the accomplishments of the Class of 2009, as commencement ceremonies are held at our four high schools, two continuation high schools, and adult school.  They have earned a high school diploma, which is the first major accomplishment practically every successful person has made.  A high school diploma is truly the foundation for success.

These 2697 students (A.B. Miller – 600, Fohi – 611, Kaiser – 557, Summit – 423, Birch – 216, Citrus – 178, and Fontana Adult School – 112) have worked hard to complete the required coursework and pass the California High School Exit Exam.  Many of these students have attended Fontana schools since they entered kindergarten in 1996.  We have watched them grow-up into young men and women, ready for the next step.  Soon they will be attending college, trade school, enlisting in the military, or going straight into the work force.

Wherever their dreams take them, we wish them the best as they head off to new challenges and successes, reminding them to do what truly matters and make this world a better place to be.

Fontana Unified School District also wishes to salute the many teachers who gave all our students an outstanding education and all the parents who supported them in that.  Thank you!
