Art students from all Fontana Unified School District high schools participated in an exhibit on May
3-14, 2010 at the Fontana Art Association's Koehler Gallery. The young artists submitted works in a variety of mediums, including drawing, painting, sculpture, design work, digital work, photography, and ceramics.
Roberto Rodriguez, a senior at A.B. Miller School, won Best in Show for his painting (shown at left), "Imagine."
The Fontana Art Association was founded back in 1965. The Koehler Gallery is named for a founding member, the late Dr. Charles A. Koehler, who was also a counselor with the Fontana Unified School District for many years. The gallery recently reopened
last year after an 18-month hiatus during which it was completed renovated. With it's re-opening, the Fontana Art Association hopes to reach out to new members and become a venue for local artists to show their work.
