Fontana Unified School District will be opening its newest comprehensive
high school, Jurupa Hills High School, in August of 2010. The school
is currently under construction and is located at 10700 Oleander Avenue,
between Slover and Santa Ana Avenues in Fontana. As a result of
opening a new school, new attendance boundaries were needed. District
staff, along with a consulting firm, and members of the community serving on
a Boundary Review Committee, recently completed a roughly six-month boundary
review process that led to the adoption of 2010-11 boundaries by the Board
of Education in March of 2009.
The new boundaries change some elementary and middle school attendance
areas along with all high school boundaries within the District.
However, this does not affect the Fontana Unified School District boundary
with neighboring school districts. The new boundaries were designed to
bring schools closer to the desired school sizes and better align the
attendance boundaries among elementary, middle and high schools.
