Dear Fontana Community,
The holiday countdown has begun! While there is still plenty of learning
going on at this time of year, student performances are also being showcased
throughout the month of December and they are a wonderful gift to the community. Many of our schools will have winter concerts with choir and instrumental
performances and I encourage you to attend these festive activities at your
child’s school – they are a true delight and fun for the entire family.
One of the best parts of the holiday season is the opportunity to take a break,
however brief, from our regular daily activities and obligations. This year, our
Winter Break begins on December 21, with our elementary and middle school
students returning to school on January 4 and high school students returning on
January 11. Elementary students on Track B won’t be returning until February 9.
Much of the holiday season has become about gift giving. Every day you send your
child to school, you send us your most precious gift. We thank you for allowing
us the privilege of being a part of your child’s life. On behalf of the Board of
Education and the Fontana Unified School District staff, we wish you and your
family the best in the new year and hope you enjoy the Winter Break with your
children.
Best wishes,
Cali Olsen-Binks
Superintendent
