The month of March was an exciting time for Summit High School. Their Varsity Boys Basketball Team went all the way to the CIF State Division II championship finals, losing by the narrowest of margins (53-50) to Archbishop Mitty High School; Coach Steve Hickey was named HS GameTime Coach of the Year; and the Varsity Cheerleading Squad took third place at the 2011 USA Spirit and Dance/Drill Nationals.

For their outstanding efforts and success, the Summit High School Boys Basketball Team and Varsity Cheerleading Squad were recognized by the Fontana Unified School District Board of Education at their April 6, 2011 Board Meeting.
