FUSD Academic Decathlon Teams Recognized at Board Meeting
At the Board of Education Meeting on April 20, 2011, teams
from Fontana Unified School District's five high schools were recognized for
their hard work and achievement at the recent Academic Decathlon.
"Students from all of our five high schools competed this February in the 28th
annual San Bernardino County competition," said Oscar Duenas, Associate
Superintendent of Instructional Services. "There were a total of 52 teams
from 29 high schools in the ten academic disciplines. Twenty-four of our
students received individual awards and two teams finished in the top ten."
Although not all the teams were able to attend the Board Meeting due to previous
commitments, students from Jurupa Hills and Summit High Schools were in
attendance. |
