Before leaving school for the holidays, Jurupa Hills High School teacher Kelsy
Gray's homeroom class ensured that an EOD (Explosive
Ordnance Disposal) Unit stationed in Afghanistan
would receive care packages for Christmas.
"We shipped 65 care packages will all kinds of goodies for the soldiers," said
Ms. Gray. Each care package contained a DVD, book, shampoo, conditioner,
soap, batteries, snacks, playing cards, magazines, pens, pencils, toothbrush,
toothpaste, floss, and miscellanous donated items. Said Ms. Gray, "These
care packages were filled to the brim with tons of great supplies. We also
included letters and art work from high school and elementary students
throughout the district."
