Regular communication between parents and teachers is essential for the
success of your student and that’s why it is a priority of our district. Here
are just some of the ways that the Fontana Unified School District is helping
parents stay connected:
Zangle! ParentConnection
We are entering our fourth year of offering ParentConnection, a web-based
application that provides parents with access to Zangle student information. By
using a confidential PIN number and password, parents can connect security
through the web to view their student’s progress reports, attendance records,
homework assignments, report cards, transcripts, test history, cafeteria
records, classroom news, and more. Contact information for communicating with
their student’s teacher(s) and counselor is another vital component. Parent also
have the option of viewing the ParentConnection interface in their primary
language.
Zangle! ParentConnection is currently available at each of our high
schools and the following middle schools: Alder, Fontana, Southridge, and
Truman.
Zangle! StudentConnection
Like Zangle! Parent Connection, StudentConnection is a web-based application
that provides access to school information and student data, except for
students. Students can view a calendar of announcements and bulletins that
pertain to their school site, as well as classroom news posted by teachers that
pertains to specific classes in which they are enrolled. They can also view
their homework assignments, daily schedule, attendance records, marks,
transcript, grade point average, graduation requirements, testing results,
behavior data, health records, cafeteria records, and more.
Zangle
StudentConnection is currently available at each of our high schools and the
following middle schools: Fontana, Ruble, and Southridge.
Teacher
Websites
FUSD offers another avenue for communication through individual Teacher
Websites. Teachers can post announcements and calendar items (such as upcoming
test dates, or due dates for assignments, etc.), provide links to online
resources, and post classroom documents. As teachers develop their websites,
links will be available from their school site’s webpage.
School
Websites
All of our high schools, middle schools, and the majority of our elementary
schools have their own websites which they use to keep parents informed of the
latest school news and upcoming events. Use of the drop-down menu on the main
page of fusd.net to select your child’s school and view their website.
