Fontana Exchange Club Honors Fontana Students of the Month
 At the May 19, 2010 Board of Education meeting, Melba Rey, Chairperson of the Scholarship Committee, acknowledged the Fontana Exchange Club Students of the Month and A.C.E. Award Recipients.
The Fontana Exchange Club has been recognizing Fontana’s high school students
for over a decade. “Students of the month are selected by their teachers and
they are submitted to us on a monthly basis and we recognize them on a quarterly
basis,” explained Ms. Rey. “This year we will be recognizing them during the
School Board meetings. From this pool of Students of the Month, we pick two or
three students who have the best GPA among the nominees and we award them a
scholarship of $200 to $400 to assist them along their pathway to college.”
