At the March 16, 2011 Board Meeting, the Board of Education recognized the Fontana High School Boys Soccer Team for their outstanding performance and achievements during the season and in the CIF finals.

Midseason it didn't look as though the Steelers might even make the playoffs after losing back-to-back games to Yucaipa and neighboring A.B. Miller.  Then in an amazing comeback they won a dozen games - seven of them by a single goal.  In February, the Steelers won their fourth-straight Citrus Belt League championship.  In the Division III final match, the Steelers lost by the narrowest of margins (2-1) to Paramount.
