The Friends of the Library are local residents or business
members of our community who value public library service and
collectively believe that our library is one of the key elements
that make our community a wonderful place to live. They
volunteer their time and talent to promote the use of the
library, to assist library staff and to raise funds, which are
used to enhance library services.
The donated items are sometimes added to the library’s
collection for lending. The remainder are sold at the Friends of
the Library located on the first floor of the Lewis Library and
Technology Center, across from the main desk at the entrance.
The proceeds are used to supplement the library’s permanent
collection or to sponsor cultural activities in the community.
Donated items may be dropped-off at the main desk at the
entrance. If you would like a tax donation letter, you may ask
the librarian at the time of your donation, leave a note with
your books with your name and contact info, or contact Debra
Bennett at Sierra Lakes Elementary.
Visit the Friends of the Library to find great bargains and to
help support our library.
