Congratulations to the Kaiser High School Catamount Pride Band and Color Guard
for taking second place in the Los Angeles County Fair high school competition.
In their performance last week, Kaiser narrowly missed out on an automatic berth in the 2012 Tournament of Roses Parade.
Kaiser has enjoyed tremendous success over the years under the direction of Anthony Allmond
and has finished in second place at the L.A. County Fair four times.
Arcadia High School came in first place and will get the Rose Bowl nod. "Arcadia deserved to win," Allmond said. "They've had a great high school band program for many years.
"But I was proud of our band. They performed well and everybody loved them."
The
Kaiser High School Catamount Pride Band and Color Guard will receive
$3,000 for coming in second.
