Preschool Enrollment for 2004-05


Preschool enrollment for the 2004-05 school year will begin April 12, 2004, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at District Enrollment Services (located at 9548 Citrus Avenue, Bldg. A in Fontana - across the street from Fontana High School). 

Enrollment packets can be picked-up at all Fontana elementary school offices or from District Enrollment Services.


Program Highlights:

  • A comprehensive child development program focusing on physical, cognitive and social-emotional growth of the child.
  • Emphasis on language and literacy, emergent mathematical and scientific thinking.
  • Child-centered curriculum
  • Parent Education Activities
  • Availability of counselors and nursing services.

Ages Of Children:

The State Preschool Program is available to all eligible 3 to 5 year olds. First Priority is given to children who will be age 4 by December 2. Families with lowest per capita income shall be admitted first. Second Priority is given to children who are 3 years of age.

Cost:

The State Preschool Program is funded by a state grant. The grant requires the district to prioritize family needs according to income. The program is free to eligible families.

Documentation Required:

  • Birth Certificate
  • Immunization Record
  • Verification of income
  • Medi-Cal number (if applicable)
  • Proof of address
