FUSD DSOs Recognized for Excellence

Chief Martin Sissac, Superintendent Randy Bassett, DSOs Jason and Jarel Perry

On May 18, the Fontana Chamber of Commerce held its annual Police and Fire Award Recognition Ceremony. Among the dedicated mean and women recognized for their work and dedication were Fontana Unified School District's DSOs (District Safety Officers) Jason and Jarel Perry, who were awarded Lifesaving Awards.

On December 15, 2016 at approximately 2:30 pm, there was a car collision at the corner of Cherry and Jurupa, outside the gates of Kaiser High School. Hearing the collision, DSOs Jason and Jarel Perry went to the street and saw the aftermaths of the accident. Both vehicles were smashed up pretty bad and one of the cars was completely upside down and was making a strange noise as though something may have been punctured or leaking. The Perrys helped both parties out of their vehicles and to the sidewalk until emergency services arrived.
