FUSD Announces Policy for Free, Reduced-Price Meals
The Fontana Unified School District has announced its policy for providing free
and reduced-price meals for children served under the National School Lunch
Program and School Breakfast Program. The district office and all of the
schools have a copy of the policy, which can be reviewed by any interested
party.
The household size and income criteria identified in this chart (click here) is
being used to determine eligibility for free, reduced-price or full-price meal
benefits. Children from households whose income is at or below the levels
shown are eligible for free or reduced-price meals. Children who receive
benefits through the Food Stamp program, California Work Opportunity and
Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKS), Kinship Guardianship Assistance Payments
(Kin-GAP), or Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR) are
automatically eligible for free meals regardless of the income of the household
in which they reside.
In addition, 22 school sites in Fontana are feeding all students at no charge.
Breakfast and lunch are offered and can be received by every enrolled student at
