School Readiness

The goal of the Early Education Department is to provide School Readiness services to children birth to age 5 in the elementary school sites of Fontana Unified School District. Components of the FIRST 5 San Bernardino Children and Families Commission of San Bernardino County grant include curriculum articulation, staff development opportunities for Preschool and Kindergarten teachers and a plan to provide a smooth transition for children from Preschool to Kindergarten classes. Services include early childhood education for preschool-age children, health, social services, and parenting instruction.
