BTSA Support Provider

The Support Providers are selected from teachers who have demonstrated exemplary teaching abilities. Those abilities include:

• Effective communication skills
• Subject matter competency
• Mastery of a range of teaching strategies necessary to meet the needs of students in different contexts

Candidate Criteria

1. Minimum 5 years of teaching experience
2. Permanent status in Fontana Unified School District
3. At least 60% of the workday is in direct instruction of regularly assigned students
4. Obtain a recommendation from a Fontana Unified School District administrator

Responsibilities

• Each person will carry a caseload of 3 BTSA teachers and 2 Interns or 2 BTSA teachers and 3 Interns
• Work approximately 150 hours
• Keep log of monthly activities
• Participate in Formative Assessment for California Teachers (FACT) training
• Attend monthly Support Provider meetings
• Attend an orientation meeting to learn job duties
