ROP CLASSES
Student involvement is at
the core of priorities for TV 17. A growing percentage of
programming is now being produced by our TV/Film production students
from our local high schools, such as A.B. Miller, Kaiser, and Fontana
High.
One of the core programs involved with the training of our students is
the San Bernardino County ROP (Regional Occupational Program).
This program provides students with hands-on training in the industry
of TV and video production.
The ROP TV/Video program instructs students in the technical elements
of camera techniques, digital non-linear editing, multi-camera
production and on-camera hosting. Those who successfully
complete the program curriculum are awarded a certificate of
completion.
Students who are interested in enrolling in the TV/Video ROP program
must be at least a junior in high school at any one of the high
schools in the Fontana Unified School District. Residents of
Fontana who are at least 18 years of age are also eligible to enroll
in this program.
