FUSD has 11 Champions at County History Day Competition

More than 300 students representing seven San Bernardino County school districts and three private schools competed at the 2006 County History Day event on Saturday, March 25 at A.B. Miller High School.

Students in the junior and senior divisions competed in five categories - exhibits, performances, documentaries, research papers and websites - on topics related to this year's theme, “Taking a Stand in History: People, Ideas and Events.”  Elementary students competed in a poster contest.

A panel of judges selected two county champions, a first runner-up and a second runner-up in each category.  Both champions are eligible to represent San Bernardino County in the State History Day competition on May 12-14 in May 12-14.  The top two finishers at the state competition will advance to the nationals in Maryland this June.
