Course Offerings:
Advanced Technology Project 6697 Pre-requisite: Familiarity with computers and teacher approval A hands-on, job certificate program intended to teach students the necessary skills of microcomputer repair. At the successful completion of this course, students will be able to identify all parts of a microcomputer, perform basic troubleshooting procedures and make necessary repairs. They will also be able to assemble a microcomputer and install appropriate software, as well as use appropriate computer test equipment. (Additional classes after school, twice each week, may be required.) Computer Animation 1A & 1B 1077 & 1078 One Semester 10, 11, 12 Meets University of California “F” requirement Pre-requisite: grade of C or better in Comp. Application 1 Recommended: Art 1A Course is designed to introduce students to the features of Macromedia Fireworks, Dreamweaver, and Flash. Students will gain hands on experience in development of Graphic Design applications that create content for Web sites. This class provides students with the basics of computer drawing and photo software for designing graphics. Students will use the elements of art, the principals of composition, and the application of practical design solutions. T.V. News 1 and 2 1065 & 1066 Pre-requisite: grade of C or better in Comp. Application 1A & grade of C or better in Video Production This class will produce news programs for the school and community. The focus of the class will be to produce the daily bulletin and community service commercials to increase student awareness. Video Production 1068 Pre-requisite: grade of C or better in Comp. Application 1A This course is a multimedia approach to audio/visual production. Students will use computer applications and digital cameras to create both individual and group projects.Vocational Auto IA 6700Co-requisite: Comp. Application 1A 9, 10, 11, 12 These courses provide students with the fundamentals of engines, ignitions systems, fuel systems, emission controls and electrical systems. Vocational Auto 1B 6705One Semester 9, 10, 11, 12 Pre-requisite: grade of C or better in Vocational Auto 1A This is the second semester of vocational auto. Students continue to learn fundamentals of the engine. Advanced Vocational Auto (2C) 6710 This course teaches students how to troubleshoot, evaluate, and correct problems within the systems taught in Auto IA and Auto IB. |
