Math Success Applied   7411

Reviews and reinforces the mathematics principles covered in the seven strands of the district Math core curricula.  In addition to reinforcing basic competencies and the use of a calculator, the course helps students’ master high school math proficiency requirements.  Students will be able to perform basic math functions with integers, percents, decimals, and fractions.

Algebra A  Applied 7303 and Core  7417

This is the first year course for students to learn the basic concepts of Algebra.  The course is broken into two years to give the students ample time to grasp the materials presented.  Students will be able to solve equations using one variable including inequalities and exponents as well as factoring equations.

Algebra B Applied  7304 and Core  7418

This is the second year of the Algebra I course.  Students will complete their studies of Algebra and be prepared for the next year of Geometry.  Students will be able to graph linear equations, solve systems of equations and manipulate equations with absolute values and radicals.  Use of Quadratic Equation.

Introduction to Geometry Applied  7413 and Core  7407

Pre requisite: the completion of Algebra

Introduces students to the basic concepts of Plane and Solid Geometry.  Students will be able to define basic slopes, construct, copy, and bisect angels. Be able to complete a basic proof.
