Awards and Recognition

Monday Morning Assemblies

Student Birthdays: All students having birthdays from Monday to Sunday are called to the stage and given a Happy Birthday by the entire school.

Accelerated Reader: The Top Three A.R. Readers of the Month at each grade level are recognized at a Monday Morning Assembly, once a month.

Trimester Awards

  • Teacher's Choice for excellence, achievement, or improvement in any area in the trimester.  Teachers select two students and state reason for award.
  • Citizenship for outstanding citizenship with no citations or office referrals in the trimester.  Teachers select two students.
  • Bobcat Award for overall academic excellence in the trimester.  Teachers select two top students, in grades 1-3 ONLY.
  • Principal's Honor Roll for students who receive a 3.25 average, (AAAA, AAAB, AABB, AAAC, AABC, ABBB) in the trimester in Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, and Science. No D’s allowed.  No N’s or U’s in any areas (effort, P.E., work habits, social skills).  No office referrals or suspensions in the trimester.  For students in grades 4-6 ONLY.
  • Superintendent's Honor Roll for students who receive a 4.0 grade point average (straight A’s) in the trimester in Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, and Science.  No N’s or U’s in any areas (effort, P.E., work habits, social skills).  No office referrals or suspensions in the trimester.  For students in grades 4-6 ONLY.
  • Trimester Perfect Attendance: Awarded to students with no absences during the entire trimester and no more than one tardy in the trimester.  Must be present at school every day from the beginning of the trimester to the end of the trimester.

California Standards Test Achievers

Students in grades 4-6 making scale score points growth from one year to the next on the California Standards Test receive any or all of these awards:

  • CST Language Arts Achiever
  • CST Math Achiever
  • CST Overall Achiever

Science Fair Awards

Students participating in the Science Fair are recognized at the Science Fair Awards Assembly.  The top science projects move to the District level and may earn more recognition.  Top district projects move to the County level.
