Conflict Managers

Students in grades 4-6 displaying leadership qualities are recommended by their teachers to become Conflict Managers.  Students that accept this responsibility are trained by our Conflict Manager Staff in conflict resolution techniques to help students resolve their own conflicts.  We have approximately 60 Conflict Managers in active duty this year.

Our Conflict Managers are outstanding students who give up their own recess to monitor the playground at recess and assist students that may be having difficulties getting along.  Our Conflict Managers follow a predetermined schedule and go out with a partner every time they have a duty. T hey carry a clipboard with a script to follow when assisting students. They wear a blue cap to be easily identified by other students.
