A Message From our Principal
Citrus Elementary School has a dedicated staff, who are
experienced and knowledgeable, and eager to make a difference for our students.
Students are treated with respect, courtesy, and concern. Through
teamwork, open communication and a commitment to continuous improvement, our
staff creates an environment that establishes, recognizes, supports, and
maintains high standards for learning and behavior. Each student has
access to a rigorous core curriculum in language arts, mathematics, science, and
social science. Citrus parents and community members are welcomed to get
involved in our school through numerous workshops, advisory groups, and
assistance in the classroom. We believe that parents, community members,
and staff must work together for the education of all students.
School Description
Citrus Elementary School is one of twenty-nine
elementary schools in the Fontana Unified School District.
It is a single-track, year-round school serving
approximately 799 students in kindergarten through sixth
grade, and supports a state preschool program on its campus. The Citrus student population is a rich mixture of 86.7% Hispanic,
7.8%
African American, 5.4% White/Non-Hispanic, and .1% other ethnic backgrounds.
