Date Elementary School is a quality institution and an asset to its students, parents, staff and community. We provide a nurturing, safe, and productive environment for all. Through rigorous and relevant instruction, students are able to build a solid foundation to be successful in life.


Our mission is to provide the physical, emotional, intellectual and moral foundation for students to be successful in a diverse community. Through innovative teaching we will foster responsibility, teamwork and recognition of excellence and strive to provide a caring and safe environment. We hold all who enter Date Elementary campus to the highest academic standards, quality work, positive attitude and exemplary effort to achieve their potential.


Our school community holds the following values and tenets as our core beliefs that drive the operations, decisions, and actions of the students, staff, and parents of Date Elementary School.

Date Elementary School is one of twenty-nine elementary schools in the Fontana Unified School District.  It is a single-track, year-round schedule with approximately 720 students in preschool school through grade five. The school population is rich with ethnically and linguistically diverse students. The overall ethnic composition is 86.3% Hispanic, 5.5% African American, 4.7% White/Non-Hispanic, 1.3% Other ethnic backgrounds, 1.2% Multiple or no response, and 1% Pacific Islander. The School Site Council and the English Language Advisory Committee are very active in helping to develop the school plan to ensure quality education and safe environment for all. A variety of school programs provide challenging opportunities for all students to succeed.
