 A Message From our Principal

Parents and community play a very important role in the school.  Understanding the school's educational program, student achievement, and curriculum development can assist both school and community in ongoing program involvement.

We have made a commitment to provide the best educational program possible for our students.  The excellent quality of our program is a reflection of our highly committed staff.  We are dedicated to ensuring that Poplar Elementary School is a welcoming, stimulating environment where students are actively involved in learning academics, as well as positive values.  Through our hard work, together, our students will be challenged to reach their maximum potential.

 School Description

Poplar Elementary School is one of twenty-nine elementary schools in the Fontana Unified School District.  It is a multi-track, year-round school serving approximately 791 students in kindergarten through sixth grade, and supports a state preschool program on its campus.  Poplar's student population is a rich mixture of 90.1% Hispanic, 4.5% Caucasian, 3.1% African-American, and 2.3% other ethnic backgrounds.
