Summit High School Summer School
Summit High School Summer School is open to
all Summit students in grades 9th through 12th graders who need remedial assistance in
certain academic/elective courses.

Dates & Times
Summer school begins on Monday,
June 16, 2008, and ends on Friday, July 18, 2008, for a total of 24 days. There will be NO summer school on
Friday, July 4, 2007
(Holiday).

Eligibility
WE WILL HAVE NO SPACE FOR STUDENTS WHO DO NOT
RESIDE IN THE FONTANA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT.
Registration
Students interested in
attending summer session should enroll with their counselor.
Remember, you
should pre-enroll for summer school. Do not wait for the start of summer
school to register.
There will be a
LIMITED late registration on Friday, June 13, 2008 for the
following students:
Summit 10th, 11th, 12th
8 am - 12 noon

Incoming Freshman
10:30 am - 12 noon |
Attendance
Attendance and tardies will be handled by the
classroom teacher. On the third day of absence a student will be dropped,
no matter the circumstances.
Busing
FUSD will not provide transportation for
summer school.
Textbooks
Students will not be issued textbooks unless they
have current Student ID cards or other identification. Also, students who
have charges for books will NOT be issued new textbooks until they have
cleared the charges or returned the book(s).
Behavior
Each student is expected to conduct
himself/herself in an acceptable fashion, and all of the rules of the regular
school program shall prevail. Misbehavior will NOT be tolerated and
the students who break the rules will be DROPPED FROM THE PROGRAM AND PARENTS
WILL BE ADVISED. There is NO After School Work Program (ASWP)
or Alternative Learning Classroom (ALC) during summer school.
Closed Campus
Summit High School is a CLOSED CAMPUS.
Students without a class will NOT be allowed to remain on campus or to loiter
around the campus. Students will NOT be allowed to leave campus during
class time without a pass.
ALL CLASS OFFERINGS ARE DEPENDENT UPON
ENROLLMENT AND QUALIFIED TEACHER AVAILABILITY. CLASSES MAY BE CLOSED DUE
TO LOW ENROLLMENT.
