College Fair Parent Information Night
On Wednesday, September 17 from 5-7 pm at Kaiser High School located at 11155 Almond Ave in Fontana, parents and students of middle and high school students are strongly encouraged to attend the parent night featuring selected recruiters. This event is open to all families, and will give parents an opportunity to interact with recruiters prior to the college fair.
15th Annual Historically Black Colleges & Universities Recruitment Fair
On Thursday, September 18, from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm at Carter High School, located at 2630 North Linden Avenue, in Rialto, FUSD is hosting the “U-CAN go to college recruitment fair” in partnership with RUSD. The college fair will be filled with recruiters from 30 to 40 different Historically Black Colleges and Universities representing hundreds of majors and professional degrees. Participating students may receive application fee waivers, financial aid, scholarships and on-the-spot admissions, if qualified. Transportation for participating students will be provided to Carter High School from Miller, Summit, Fontana, Jurupa Hills, Citrus, and Birch High Schools. See a counselor at your high school for permission slip and online registration information.
The Hour of Code is Coming!
Mark your calendar for the Hour of Code on December 8-14.  The Hour of Code is an opportunity for every student to try computer science for one hour.
California Career Center
State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Torlakson launched a new Career and College Exploration and Planning Web portal at the end of the last school year.  The California Career Center is available to help students navigate high school and explore/plan for post high school options.
Free student accounts to create and track a Career Action Plan.
