About FUSD TV

FUSD TV is cablecast on Time Warner cable system Channel 17 throughout the city of Fontana. The channel is run by the school district and provides educational programming to students, parents, and the community.

A variety of programming is cablecast on FUSD TV in the afternoon and evening hours. FUSD TV cablecasts live school board meetings and also repeats them several times in the days that follow. Some of the regularly scheduled programs are:

  • Fontana Reads, which features storytellers reading picture books for children (there are both English and Spanish episodes)
  • NASA Connect, which shows how math and science are used in our daily lives
  • TV 411, a program for adults looking to improve their reading, writing, and math skills
  • Algebra, which is on every day to show lessons related to what students have learned in the classroom.

Channel 17 also brings a variety of musical concerts, sporting events, and special programs which are presented at various school sites for our home viewers to enjoy.

When we are not playing programs, a reader board of information which is of interest to both parents and students is shown.
