Visual and Performing Arts Vision Statement:
To provide all K-12 students with a quality, rigorous, sequential, standard-based instruction in visual arts, music, dance, and theater.
To train staff adequately in effective teaching strategies so that all students are motivated to explore, create, collaborate, showcase and aesthetically value their achievements within the arts.
To embed VAPA within K-5 instruction interdisciplinarily and restore equity of services in middle school and high school course offerings.
To create the infrastructure needed to provide standards-based curricula, instruction and methodology, student assessment, professional development, program administration, partnerships and collaborations, financial sustainability, materials and facilities, and program planning and evaluation.
