Summit High School Presents "Oklahoma"

Summit High School is pleased to present Rodgers and Hammerstein's classic musical, "Oklahoma!"

Set in a Western Indian territory just after the turn of the century, the story can be boiled down to a single sentence: a girl must decide between the two suitors who want to take her to a social.  Laurie (played by Heather Peters), an Oklahoma farm girl who is courted by boisterous cowboy Curley (played by Freddy Gonzalez) and by the menacing farm hand Jud Frye (played by Samuel Jacobo).  Fearing that Jud will harm Curley, Laurie accepts Jud's invitation to the box social.  Counterpointing the serious elements of the story is a comic subplot involving sassy Ado Annie (played by Robbin De Jesus), her erstwhile sweetheart Will Parker (played by Christopher Solis) and lascivious travelling salesman Ali Hakim (played by Daniel Meza).

Additional cast include:  Bianca Anyakora as Aunt Eller, Adrianna Maynes as Cord Elam, Andrew Rodriguez as Ike/Slim, Jasmine Ramirez as Gertie Cummings, and Manuel Elenss as Andrew Carnes.  Chorus includes:  Ashley Jimenez, Reyna Flores, Irina Felix, Alyssa Silva, Shaelyne Mount, Jasmine Aquino, and Jessica Beron.

Performances will held be held in the Summit High School multipurpose room on Wednesday, March 11 at 3:30 pm; Thursday, March 12 at 7 pm; and Friday, March 13 at 7 pm.  Tickets are $5.
